Supported formats

Launch formats are plain-text subtitles with high conversion demand. Image-based and broadcast formats are out of scope for now.

• SRT — SubRip (.srt). Common for downloads, CapCut / Premiere, and most desktop players.
• VTT — WebVTT (.vtt). Web players, online courses, and many CMS pipelines.
• ASS — ASS/SSA (.ass/.ssa). Anime / fansub effects. Converting out keeps timing + plain text only.
• SBV — YouTube SBV (.sbv). YouTube Studio download / upload format.

Only timing and plain text are kept. ASS/SSA styles, positions, and effects cannot be carried into SRT/VTT/SBV.

Output is a basic editable ASS (default style). Fancy effects are not invented — add them later in a tool like Aegisub.
